Gary Bailey
Gary has been one of South Africa’s top professional speakers for the last 8 years and specialises in motivation, teamwork, and leadership. He has spoken at most of the top companies in the country as well as in Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Kenya. Gary is much in demand as a team-builder with inter-active games, as well as in the capacity of an after-dinner speaker and MC. Gary started his football career at Wits University in 1976 and played for 2 years during which time he won the Wits “Sportsman of the Year” award and also represented South Africa against Rhodesia. He then joined Manchester United in 1977 where he stayed for 10 years, playing over 350 games for the Red Devils. Gary represented England 17 times at U-21 level and twice at full level, and was part of the England world cup squad in Mexico in 1986. After a serious injury, Gary returned to South Africa where he played for 2 years for local glamour side, Kaizer Chiefs. Since then he has worked for TopSport, been Sports Editor at Radio 702 and is currently a full time presenter and producer at MNet Supersport. He also holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an MBA from Henley in Oxford.
