Joe Clarke
Joseph Clark has been seen in a wide variety of shows and roles in the entertainment industry in South Africa. He has acted, sung or danced (and in most cases, done all three at once!) in every major theatre in the country. He originally came to South Africa (from the USA) as a Principal Dancer for the PACT Ballet Co. and won immediate acclaim for his leading roles in Swan Lake, Pappilon, Romeo & Juliet and Witchboy. He danced for the NAPAC Dance Company as a Principal and Guest Artist until 1993. Joseph sang Breaking the Silence during the opening ceremony of the World Aids Congress at the ICC in Durban in 2001 and was a featured soloist in three of the ever popular Jo’burg Pops concerts. In 1999 he sang the role of “Judas” in Jesus Christ Superstar in concert at the State Theatre in Pretoria. Last year he sang, alongside Luciano Zuppa, in QUEEN in Concert with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, at the Sandton Convention Centre and with the KZNPO at the Playhouse in Durban.
