Jean-François Martinelli is of French / Italian heritage and he came to South Africa to front ”Sun King”, Sol Kerzner’s favorite band ”The 4 Saints” entertaining guests at five star resort hotels for many a year.
He then formed his own band “Capricorn” who continues to perform all over South Africa and surrounding countries. Juanita Kruger was educated at the University of Natal, Durban. She made her professional debut in 1987 in “It’s Better with A Band” directed by the late Geoffrey Sutherland. A number of revues followed, and in 1991 she shared the lead role with Kate Normington in “My Fair Lady”. She continued to work in musicals, pantomimes and revues for Napac as well as in corporate theatre. In addition she did much work as a session singer and jingles vocalist. In 1993 she played the lead role in the national touring version of “Oklahoma!” This was followed by Maria in the “Sound of Music” for Napac, “Tropical Rhythm”, “New York State of Mind”, “Broadway Babes” in Stellenbosch, ”Hair” at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre, “The Best of the Best” and “Heaven Can’t Wait” at the Theatre on the Track and the “Magic of Walt Disney” for the Peoples Theatre.

Natalie Rungan Durban
Also in 1998, Natalie took to the stage at the Standard Bank Jazz Festival By The Sea as a support act with Darius Brubeck, to industry icons Hugh Masekela and Sibongile Khumalo. Natalie has sung with Australian band Warkala in December 1999 and with Canadian composer-pianist Dr Carol Anne Weaver in April 2000.
Natalie completed her Bachelor of Music degree in 1999 and went on to reveal her great talent and promise as a composer and arranger at the Centre for Jazz and Popular Music in October 2000. She joined the university's part-time teaching staff in early 2001 as Jazz and Popular Voice Teacher. She directed the aforementioned vocal group NU Voices, and was a member of the National Youth Jazz Band under the leadership of Daryll Andrews. The band performed at the 2000 Joy of Jazz Festival.

April 2001 saw Natalie go to Artisten University in Gothenburg, Sweden, where she spent a month with students and teachers, learning from and contributing to the local music scene. While in Sweden, she performed at the South African Embassy in Stockholm and at Gothenburg's Nefertiti jazz club. Thereafter, she accompanied well-known pianist Melvin Peters and four other musicians to Scotland, performing at various venues including at a reception for South African President, Thabo Mbeki.
In 2001, Natalie joined Yvonne Chaka Chaka and PJ Powers on stage for the opening song of the high profile World Conference Against Racism. She completed her Masters Degree in Jazz Performance and Composition, through the University of Natal – Durban in 2003.

She continued to grow as a professional from 2004, singing with various bands and musicians.

Rike plays on a Selmer alto saxophone and has recently started playing soprano saxophone. She was fortunate enough to meet the famous sax player David Sanborn in person at the JVC Jazz festival in New York.

Tahirih Johannesburg
While in Turkey (2003), she featured as the lead singer in musical and cabaret shows, such as “Aloha”, “Hot Hot Hot,” “Musicals”,Celebrations”. She also worked in various Hotels in Turkey after which she was invited back to Norway to perform as soloist with the Bergen Choir on their tour of Norway and Sweden. She returned to South Africa at the end of 2003.
In 2004, she was a principal singer in the show “DIVA!” at the Liberty Theatre on the Square in Sandton for which she was nominated for a Naledi award. She featured in the pantomime “Cinderella” at the Civic Theatre (directed by Janice Honeyman). Coenie de Villiers cast her as one of his principal singers in his 2005 KKNK show, “Coenie De Villiers en die Oggendsterre”, which ran in Oudtshoorn, George. In 2006 she did a one woman show for Max Stibbe Waldorf School. At present, she is acting and in the popular South African series “Backstage” on E-TV.
She is a trained dancer and this comes out on her stage performance. Her style of singing ranges from sophisticated Jazz to Commercial Pop music.

In September 2003 he was invited to USA by Jennifer Abubakar, the wife of Vice President of Nigeria to sing at a benefit concert in Washington DC (for HIV Aids orphans and an illness called Norma (which is similar to leprosy in Africa) and he returned in November 2003 from touring Dubai,Hong Kong and Paris.

He has been a favourite for doing the Debswana functions in Botswana. He has received quite a lot of compliments from the people he has done work for and is also receiving invites from different companies and the marketing is through word of mouth.

This will all end before midnight, but as it is Near Years Eve obviously the party must carry on till well after midnight. Do you have a DJ to play dancing music or what is your intention? I will be on stand by and will help out any way I can.
As you can see there is a lot involved to make the evening run smooth, if you have any problems with getting the props or whatever please let me know and we can try to rearrange events accordingly.

Internationally she was contracted as a solo Pianist / Vocalist in the Crystal Bar at the 5 Star Millennium Hotel Abu-Dhabi, U.A.E.
